Emmanuel Matt is a Swiss/French artist. His artistic training began when he was accepted into the studio of the artist Loul Schopfer, who in turn had been a student of Despiau. He also studied the violin at The Lausanne Conservatory Born in Germany to French parents , he was raised in Switzerland . He worked for 30 years in New York and now lives and paints in the "Wild calm" of the North Mayo coast "My paintings are abstract, as I am interested in the visual translation of the non-verbal language and inner feelings constantly being expressed just beneath the surface of our landscapes and our lives" |
