Yvonne Molony O’Caoimh is a contemporary, multimedia artist and photographer. Graduating from the National College of Art and Design, she spent several years living in Luxembourg and has now returned to live in Dublin. Yvonne’s work embodies her acute observations of her surroundings; the natural and man-made, how shadows fall and reflections mirror. Working in themes, she immerses herself in her subject. During the pandemic, she became aware of the instant changes in the environment. The lack of traffic created an eerie silence, the shadow of unavoidable news updates contrasted starkly with the unseasonably good weather. A new-found, almost overfamiliarity with her surroundings heightened her already keen observation skills.
